TRUSTEES

PIOT Foundation  decision-making body is its Trustees, working collectively as a

Management Committee. The Trustees are also the Directors of the company.

The  Management Commitees have 6 Departments:  Ethics and Practice; Finance;

Human Resources, Research, Fundraising, Marketing and Communications. Each is chaired by aTrustee or by the Director includes Trustees and volunteers.

Each Trustee  on appointment  is given a welcome pack which includes information about all PIOT Foundation services, the annual financial statements, job descriptions, roles and responsibilities of Trustees, the constitution and our strategic plan.

Becoming a Trustee

PIOT Foundation is run with the support of a Board of Trustees that oversee the management of the organisation. We are always interested to hear from people who feel their skills might be suited to this role.

 

Time Commitment: Approx 2-3 days per month

Duration: Flexible

Location: London

Remuneration: Voluntary role

 

Skills: Significant knowledge and experience of at least one of the following:

– Researcher

–  Communication

– Fundraising

– Legal, especially human rights, charity and/or employment law

– Press/PR

– Human Resources

Volunteering in General

PIOT Foundation  is supported by wonderful volunteers who give their time and skills to the organisation. This can involve helping out in our office, assisting in the running of events, supporting our Board of Trustees  providing in-kind services.
